The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Continuous Improvement Director to take responsibility for the development and the delivery of the Continuous Improvement program and standards across multiple businesses for a defined region (North America).

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Develop and implement world class CI learning organizational model in collaboration with business leaders and CI teams
Identify needs and organize CI education program according to CI maturity model
Lead overall CI certification process
Provide and organize, in collaboration with CL leaders, specific coaching and CI development plan for CI team members and business leaders
Support business to hire, identify, recruit CI talent external and internal
Develop, pilot and institutionalize in collaboration with HR and talent development, tomorrow’s leader learning program
Lead international projects
Coordinate external consultancy for specific development program
Work with leaders to establish CI organizational development road map and strategy
Organize and lead CI maturity assessment at site in close collaboration with businesses. Ensure proper follow up on the improvement road map
Define enterprise standards in key focus area with business teams
Identify good practice in the businesses to source our company CI standards
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

15+ years’ business experience in global/international company
Bachelor’s Degree
Demonstrated success in leading significant change in large organization
Proven Continuous improvement/lean and six sigma expertise in various business are (manufacturing and transactional area)
Experience of running multiple, large size international projects in different locations
Ability to drive hands on execution in the business and strategic thinking with top leaders
Proficiency in coaching, people development, change management
Proven track record of lean implementation with kaizen event
Subject matter expert for continuous improvement tools and method, both lean and six sigma (5S, standard work, VSM, flow management, pull systems, strategy deployment, A3 thinking, descriptive statistics, SPC, process capability, etc …)
Proven ability to develop influential relationship at multiple levels
Excellent overall business acumen and organizational savvy
Strong verbal and communication skills
Propensity for identifying issues proactively, making decision with incomplete information, and ability to manage ambiguity
Ability to simplify and clarify complex and ambiguous problems
Excellent project management skills
Analytical and process thinking
Rational persuasion
Passion for continuous improvement and change management
Ability to teach and describe excellence
Microsoft Office and function specific software (Visio, Minitab)

Lean Master (required)

Master Black Belt or Black Belt (required)

Travelling expectation:
75-100%
