Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for a passionate entry-level visual media professional to join our Visual Communications team at Missiles and Fire Control. Responsibilities
Support MFC image capture assignments, incorporate new technologies/techniques in an effective dynamic manner to reach a variety of audiences both internal and external to LM while capturing and creating visuals that communicate mood, emphasis, insight, viewpoint and similar visual impressions.

Will work under the direction of the visual media lead and other photographers/videographers and working independently. Use the latest image capture equipment and editing technology to support portfolio-shaping assignments; product marketing; employee experiences; on- and off-site events; engineering, manufacturing and test documentation and training projects.

Coordinate/execute elements of visual communications functionality (creative/technical) from planning through delivery, including clarifying business objectives, defining project scope, dimension, value, and timeline, ensuring alignment with portfolio-shaping initiatives and adherence to LM standards.

Apply expertise of visual media technology to determine the best applications for the assigned task; properly capture, process and prepare all assets and resources for use in final deliverables and adapt as needed to the changing landscape of visual communication technology by researching the latest techniques/trends.

Use online digital asset management databases or systems to manage asset libraries for production workflow, project delivery, collaboration and archival.

Adapt to the changing landscape of visual communications technology by researching the latest trends in visual media and other mediums of visual communications: interactive media, graphic design and web design.

May be expected to travel and work overtime as needed.

Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (secret clearance required.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have strong knowledge and expertise in image capture with specialized skills in still photography to include studio portraits; product marketing; on- and off-location event coverage; and engineering, manufacturing and test documentation.

Must have proficiency with professional DSLR still cameras (i.e., Nikon D5, D850) to include camera bodies, lenses and flashes. Proficiency using professional high-definition video cameras (Sony FS700, Sony Alpha 7 III, and Panasonic GH4) is also desired. Candidate will also help maintain camera equipment, studio equipment and lighting equipment as needed. Candidate will possess an artistic ability and technical understanding of how lenses and focal length choices affect composition and perspective.

Candidate must be able to capture highlighted activity that includes executive and high-level engagement, award/rollout ceremonies, large group shots and candid, journalistic photography at large/small enterprise events (both internal and external). They will need to engage, influence and pose event participants, manage/process talent releases and write clear and concise cut lines to accompany imagery using AP style guidelines.

Demonstrate strong knowledge in digital photo manipulation, color correction, and color grading (Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications as needed). Proficiency in visual storytelling; shot composition; creative lighting techniques; digital capture and transmission; file conversion/compression; digital asset management and audio recording as needed. Properly light subjects using artificial or natural lighting and using flashes and reflectors where necessary.

Demonstrate strong organizational skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment with multiple and/or competing deadlines while also meeting strict deadlines and ability to work effectively and collaboratively across organizational boundaries. Compose attention-grabbing images for social media and support workflows for real-time and near real-time social media distribution.

Knowledge of and expertise with the PC and/or Mac platform (both are desired).

Candidates are required to provide a portfolio/demo reels of work. Please provide an example(s) for each visual media discipline and provide the role(s) you contributed for each example.

Desired Skills:
Knowledge or awareness of other visual media disciplines to include high-speed image capture (Vision Research: Phantom cameras; v12, v1612, MiroLC320), video production (directing, producing, scriptwriting, editing, motion graphics, processing, transmittal and distribution), webcast services: streaming technology, encoding experience, and audiovisual support.

Proficiency and awareness with video editing software (Final Cut X, Adobe Premiere, After Effects) and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications as needed to create a wide variety of documentation and video production projects using b-roll capture, motion graphics, graphics, titling, music and narration.

Be experienced in digital capture and transmission, digital asset management, hardware/software encoding, media streaming technology and file conversion/compression and DVD authoring.

Knowledge of aerospace and defense industry products and customers (Air and Missile Defense, Tactical Missiles, Combat Maneuver Systems, Fire Control, etc.) and commercial lines of business (Energy) .

Skills in other visual communications job families are desired: interactive media, graphic design and web design.

Experience social media distribution channels are desired.

Knowledge and/or awareness in other Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat), Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), SharePoint 2013 and 3D modeling and animation (e.g., Cinema 4D, 3DS Max, Maya, Unreal).
