Our Store Inventories Department, located in the National Accounting Services Center in Northwest Phoenix, AZ has an opening for an Accountant.

Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision under rigid time constraints.
Four year college degree in accounting, finance or other business related degree required.
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Two or more years accounting experience with mainframe data systems such as QMF, CICS, etc.
Experience with Lawson financial systems.
Advanced level PC skills with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
Occasional travel required.
Review store financials to ensure reporting accuracy.
Identify, analyze, and resolve problems related to store sales, purchases, inventories, and gross profit.
Utilize technical skills to envision and implement process change to maximize team efficiency.
Query large amounts of data and transition data into complex financial calculations, entries, and reports.
Build and maintain effective business relationships with NASC, division, and inventory service partners.
Coordinate weekly inventory booking and audit process.
Prepare journal entries.
Review and complete balance sheet account reconciliations.
Make recommendations for process improvements.
Complete special projects and/or prepare reports.
Train and assist associates in specific accounting tasks and in the use of systems.
Assist manager with workload assessments and ensure critical task completion.
