SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting and conducting product level Software test activities over the entire development lifecycle. Contribute to the planning, development, execution and documentation to support product test programs. Support compliance with all applicable Quality System requirements and the proper utilization of established best practices related to product level software tests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform integrated software verification activities within a software development cycle
Develop software verification tests, debug tests, and resolve issues
Produce complete, concise, clear and technically correct verification deliverables
Create and track software defect records using a defect tracking database
Report passed and failed requirements to the test team lead
Apply the following software languages: C/C++, C#, Python to the software test development
Utilize the requirements management systems (DOORS)
Participate in product test improvement initiatives and contribute technical recommendations for the evolution of product test best practices
Contribute suggestions to improve design assurance processes and tools
Performs assigned duties and responsibilities with supervision
Perform other related duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
2 years of product testing or equivalent experience in a product development environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated ability to work complex projects with competing priorities
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, electrical engineering or related discipline
Experience with software verification activities within a software development cycle
Experience with designing and implementing automated testing scripts
Familiarity with software configuration/version control and bug tracking tools
Experience with software test equipment and test methodologies
Familiarity with externally regulated product development environments (FDA, FAA, etc.)
Familiarity with medical device software development standards
Familiarity with 21 CFR 820 regulations and ISO 13485 medical device standards
Excellent technical writing skills and strong interpersonal communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Both Office and Lab environments, working extended hours as needed
