Description:
As a Tree and Lawn Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the health and aesthetics of trees, lawns, and other landscape features. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions to ensure the vitality and appearance of outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities:

Tree Care:
- Perform pruning, trimming, and shaping of trees to promote healthy growth and safety.
- Identify and treat tree diseases, pests, and other issues using appropriate methods and tools.
- Assess tree health and recommend removal or replacement when necessary.
- Install support systems for young trees or those requiring stabilization.
- Lawn Care:
- Mow, edge, and fertilize lawns to maintain optimal health and appearance.
- Aerate and overseed lawns to improve soil health and encourage growth.
- Apply herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides as needed, following safety protocols.
- Identify and address lawn issues such as pests, diseases, and soil problems.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and chainsaws.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Ensure all safety equipment and procedures are used and followed.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations.
- Address client concerns and provide updates on work progress.
- Offer professional advice on landscape improvement and maintenance.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatments and observations.
- Prepare and submit reports on job status, issues encountered, and solutions provided.
- Follow company protocols for documentation and reporting.
Requirements:
Qualifications include but are not limited to:

Minimum 1 year experience performing applications to turf, tree, and shrubs

Ability to work fast paced and produce quality results

Knowledge and staying up to date of MSDS and chemical uses

Ability to communicate well in both written and verbal formats

Must be service oriented to exceed customers' needs

Identify different pest issues and apply applicable chemicals

Must have the ability to adapt to change quickly

Must be able to effectively work independently

Must be able to deal with various problems simultaneously and prioritize solutions

Drivers License Required
-
RT Certification
-
3A & 3B preferred
