Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting receiving, distribution, inventory control, transportation, records management, warehousing, and storage of products.
Possesses Subject Matter Expertise for supply chain related systems used within Logistics (i.e. ERP, Point of Use, Databases) to support daily operational needs. May support asset inventories and capital equipment processes, including working with Finance and other administrative depts.
Uses LEAN Six Sigma tools such as 5s to ensure orderly stockroom and inventory locations.
Responsible for daily activities associated with the movement of materials throughout our Client with attention to standards for safety, security, and productivity.
Performs other job related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
The incumbent may drive a Client vehicle on a regular or occasional basis.
Specific Job Details:
The candidate will be working closely with Logistics Specialists and select Nursing staff in support of our project called PAR BAR. This will be a 5 x 8 hr work week schedule7am – 4pm. Candidate must be available to work occasional overtime. The tasks will include (not limited to) removing weight sensitive equipment and storage bins to designated storage / nursing / patient areas; remove / stage medical supplies from point of use locations; assist w/scale system installations; keep supplies organized by product category; learn basic functions of the PAR BAR system; and inventory control of equipment in storage for subsequent installations.
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of three (3) years' supply chain, materials handler, inventory/ receiving clerk or other related field required.
Associate's Degree preferred.
On-the-job training for all job responsibilities is provided. Need to meet productivity standards.
Must be available for occasional overtime.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
The candidate will need to be organized, respectful, take direction well, have a positive attitude, team player, independent worker, possess time management skills, customer service, and careful attention to supplies and equipment due to high dollar value.
Healthcare experience is preferred.
