Job Title: Executive Director

Reports to: Board of Directors

Classification: Full-time Exempt

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director has overall responsibility for implementing the strategic direction established by the Board of Directors to achieve Justa Center’s mission. This position is responsible for maintaining positive community relations with private and public funders, donors, partner organizations including the Desert Southwest Conference of the United Methodist Church and the public at-large. The Executive Director sets the tone for the organization relative to maintaining an environment of Respect, Dignity and Compassion for those seeking Justa Center services.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer a Master of Business Administration, Social Work Masters or related field, but will accept a Bachelor’s Degree with five years administrative experience in a non-profit organization.

  • Able to identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems in a timely manner.
  • Able to monitor and manage many details and operations simultaneously.
  • Able to work as a team member, build consensus, inspire and motivate others to perform well.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellence in organizational management.
  • Past success working with a Board of Directors with the ability to cultivate existing board member relationships.
  • Marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Able to learn and teach others donor management, HMIS and other computer software.
