Summary:
Manages the nursing staff, medical assistants, unit secretaries, and staff involved in patient and staff education. Provides strategic leadership and is responsible for nursing and patient care functions and services within the hospital region. Manages clinical workflows, compliance, quality, regulatory expectations, and management of medical supplies and safety-related issues. Oversees clinical policies and procedures as well as regular involvement in more global functions such as budget management, program oversight, and long-term visioning for the health center and its staff and patient care model. Supports adherence to compliance and ethics program, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
Education:
- MSN degree required.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school (AD, in Nursing, RN Diploma, BSN, or MSN).
Experience:
Essential:
- Minimum seven years of related experience in the acute hospital environment, including current experience at the AVP/VP Nursing or ACNO level.
Credentials:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or holds a multi-state nursing license; or able to obtain license prior to start is required.
- BCLS, ACLS required.
- Certified Nursing Administrator preferred.
