To contribute to the work of the Admissions and Financial Aid Offices by 1) providing support for the execution of the communications and marketing strategies; 2) processing recruitment, selection, and financial aid materials; and 3) engaging in general administrative tasks to support ongoing operations.

As a member of the shared services team, the Admissions and Financial Aid Assistant/Communications Support performs a range of duties that varies with the changing priorities of Dartmouth’s admissions and financial aid annual cycles. In addition, the position assists the Associate Director for Communications with all aspects of the department’s website, including making edits to the site, maintaining webpages, contacting other departments for new information and updates, and monitoring web use via Google Analytics.

Competency with computer applications, familiarity with WYSIWYG functionality and strong typing skills.
Web proficiency to research the admissions, financial aid, and various campus websites to assist and direct callers quickly.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions.
Ability to project a professional image and use proper telephone and e-mail etiquette.
Absolute accuracy and attention to detail.
Familiarity with social media and the ability to learn various platforms successfully.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet goals and deadlines.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Minimum Experience
Two years of relevant experience in customer service, information processing/data entry and/or administrative support.
Minimum Education
Associates Degree, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
