Your Role at KIK
The Production Line Lead role is at our Chicago manufacturing facility, making household cleaners, where you will be responsible for the safety, quality and productivity on a production line and its crew. Ensuring that the product is manufactured following our customer’s quality specifications.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leads personnel in the packaging operations, ensuring all machinery is maintained and workers are properly trained per standard procedures.
- Inspects all company products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Notifies Production Supervisor of any manufacturing problems, as well as analyzing and resolving work problems, or assisting workers in solving problems in a helpful and timely manner.
- Maintains and enforces all safety rules and regulations and maintains good housekeeping in all related areas.
- Maintains records of shift performance, equipment output and weekly production data.
- Be responsible for the final quality of every unit that is placed into a customer’s shipper. If unsure of the quality standard required, there is a responsibility to check with the supervisor before packing questionable product.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow all plant policies and procedures.
- Other related duties as required.
What You’ll Bring
- High School Diploma / GED
- A minimum of two years’ experience in automated filling.
- Long periods of standing are a requirement of the position.
- Lifting, twisting, carrying up to 60 lbs. is a requirement of the position.
- Working in non-temperature and temperature-controlled environments.
- Possibility of working around high noise levels, depending on location
