SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Frequency Management (FM) Lead to support a program providing architecture and engineering, command and control (C2) networks and associated C2 systems support services for our U.S. Government customer in South Korea. The ideal candidate will have proven experience supporting programs providing critical IT infrastructure and network services for government customers.
Perform spectrum management and spectrum engineering technical support for the procurement, assignment, and protection of radio frequencies for legacy and emerging spectrum-dependent systems in support of combined operating forces.
Analyze technical data of communication systems and, based upon knowledge of radio equipment and radio propagation, initiate and track actions at the National or International level, as required, to eliminate conflicts in frequency assignments which arise as a result of the heavily congested radio frequency spectrum.
Generate, submit and track frequency assignment requests through spectrum management databases.
Generate, review, submit and track spectrum certification requests to ensure adequacy and accuracy to support operational needs of the requestor and local spectrum user.
Attend working groups, as required, pertaining to operational requirements, frequency allocation/assignment plans, and DoD policies affecting the communications-electronics elements of the military services.
Evaluate and analyze Table of Frequency Allocations, channel plans, and planned changes to the Radio Regulations as prepared at telecommunications conferences to consider the potential impact to coalition communications systems and equipment.
Coordinate with installation spectrum managers, area frequency coordination offices, fleet operational users, and other spectrum dependent system stakeholders.
Support all presidential broadband initiative data calls by; performing technical and engineering reviews of proposed system changes; review and provide guidance on the identification of new spectrum; generate, submit and track spectrum certifications and frequency assignments are needed; generate, review, and support technical interference studies to support spectrum transition, migration or compression.
Provide RF environmental spectrum monitoring and direction finding support. Help monitor range operations and installation spectrum usage.
Assist in the development and update of an informational library providing greater fidelity of spectrum occupancy and use across the installation.
Provide verbal and written translation of FM communications as requested by the customer.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or another related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Active DoD Secret clearance (or ROK Secret).
Minimum of 5 years of direct related experience.
Graduate of a U.S. DoD military frequency management school; Inter-service Radio Frequency Management School (IRFMS) at Keesler AFB, MS or the Battlefield Spectrum Management course, Ft Gordon, GA.
DLPT rating of 2/2/2 in Korean.
Spectrum management experience working in a Joint Frequency Management Office (JFMO), Combatant Command Headquarters, or Military Service Component Spectrum Office preferred.
