This candidate will be preferably an NCCER craft instructor and or a NCCER card holder with related experience, or prior responsibility with training, or assisting any of the NCCER administrative or hands-on functions. This role will assist with craft assessments and additional workforce development implementations. Be approachable, enthusiastic, posses strong communication, and interpersonal skills. Be able to attend networking activities, career fairs, schools and facilitate training related to apprenticeships, intern program, new hires and efforts with addressing skills gap within the company. Posses strong verbal and technical hard skills with Learning Management System, Internet based advanced research skills (analytical research), e-learning, explaining concepts, data entry and video tools are a plus.
Mapping out training plans and schedules, designing and developing training programs as well as perform New-hire safety training
Training Coordinator responsibilities include communicating with managers to identify training needs.
Training Coordinators are responsible for coordinating and conducting all Craft training programs.
Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session
Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
Experience with e-learning platforms
MS Office proficiency
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
Strong communication skills
NCCER Master Trainer - preferred, but not required
OSHA 500, 510, 10, and 30
Must have come up from the trades (Industrial Carpentry, Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical)
Working Conditions/Physical Effort:
Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces. Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools. Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.
