Nurture and Nature Childrens Center is a small Licensed-Plus day care facility operating as a 501 (c) organization, caring for children ages 6 weeks through 6 years, located in the beautiful woods of Newfields, NH. Our center is based on the philosophy that each child is respected as a unique individual. Children learn through play and are encouraged to explore, create, and manipulate objects in a relaxed, unhurried environment. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Executive Director who aligns with the centers values and provides leadership to our teachers and parent community.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to positively engage with children, parents and teachers, as well as being an effective decision maker with exceptional leadership and organizational skills and the ability to efficiently manage and prioritize commitments. The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center, including being the on-site coordinator among teachers, parents and the Board of Directors regarding facility activities, policies and enrollment procedures. In addition, the Director contributes to the preparation and submittal of the facility budget to the Board of Directors. The Director also interviews and hires teaching and service staff and provides supervision, support and coaching to our quality teaching team.
The Director reviews and evaluates facility activities to ensure conformance to state and local licensing/accreditation regulations. The Director is also responsible for the development and execution of center programming and for maintaining a positive, creative, safe and intentional learning environment to support our children. The Director reports to the Board of Directors of Childhood Quality Matters, Inc. (DBA Nurture & Nature Childrens Center).Education and Experience Requirements: ?A Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, including licensing and coursework as required by the State of New Hampshire.
?At least three years of management experience, preferably in an early childhood setting.?Experience with public relations, fund-raising, and operation of a non-profit organization are desired.?Familiarity with technology and social media is a plus.
