Develop and lead the execution of an integrated internal communications program to connect employees to the company’s strategy and transformation plan. Although strategic in nature, role requires a hands-on approach, reporting to VP, Marketing with dotted line to VP, HR, Americas.
Develop, manage, and execute internal communication plans that support Americas strategy and goals.
Establish cadence for internal communications and protocol to ensure Americas goals, success, initiatives and programs are effectively and efficiently communicated to all levels of the organization.
Function as communications champion to increase employees’ awareness of company strategies and how it benefits them.
Coach and counsel managers/leaders to ensure priorities and messaging are aligned and articulated in a manner consistent with overall company strategy.
Partner with executives and team leaders to support roll out of new programs, policies and internal announcements.
Solicit and monitor employee feedback and suggestions to identify communication improvement opportunities.
Provide tools, processes and programs that establish a strong communications culture between employees and management/leadership.
Work closely with the HR team to strengthen and promote HR programs that build talent and reinforce a strong corporate culture; support employee engagement surveys and initiatives, including all related communication and management action plans.
Collaborate with global counterparts to ensure aligned and consistent messaging drives results across geographies.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Internal Communications experience in large complex corporate environments (5000+ employees) with geographically dispersed and diverse populations
Proven ability to partner with HR and develop strategic employee messaging
Experience working with senior executives, cross-regional, cross-functional teams
Demonstrated expertise in change management and/or business transformation communication
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or public relations
5-7 years developing and executing internal communications strategies for a large, global B2B company (public company experience a plus)
Excellent writing, editing and presentation-building skills, including line editing, copyediting and proofreading skills, as well as the ability to vary writing style to meet needs of audience.
Ability to influence others utilizing skill/diplomacy with people at all levels of the organization
Highly collaborative and team player;
Manage high-volume of communication initiatives simultaneously, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
Excellent project management skills
Adobe Design experience and SharePoint knowledge a plus; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
