Serve as a systems communications consultant on consulting engagements with clients. Provide strategic communications support across a range of capabilities, including the planning, development, branding, and evaluation of technical communications for IT solutions and system implementations. Work with clients, system developers, and business analysts to translate technical changes into messaging that resonate with end users while also addressing the technical capabilities. Apply thought leadership and problem-solving expertise and use grammar and technical editing to deliver the highest quality work under tight deadlines. Coordinate meetings to partner on the development of materials, work with a graphics designer to create eye-catching infographics, assess the effectiveness of strategic communications plans and initiatives, and edit the work of and provide guidance and direction to junior staff, as needed. Coordinate and collaborate with colleagues developing training programs and change management strategies for systems implementations.
6+ years of experience with communications, technical writing, marketing, public relations, outreach, or stakeholder engagement
Experience with scientific settings or writing communications for major systems implementations
Experience with managing clients or teaming partners
Ability to obtain a security clearance
BA or BS degree in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations
Experience with marketing or branding
Experience with change management and training
Experience with technical writing and grammar or editing
Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
Ability to work well independently and in teams
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
MA or MS degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or relatedfield
