Position Overview
Our Kenilworth, NJ branch is seeking to hire a Warehouse Associate/Driver to join our team. As an essential part of the APS business, our warehouse team is staying busy to meet the growing demands of our customer needs. We are looking for hard working team members to maintain our day-to-day operations. We are looking for Warehouse Associates who are enthusiastic, and ambitious team players. Qualified candidates who are motivated, with good communication skills, a commitment to excellence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This position is also required to drive making deliveries as needed. You must have a valid state driver license, clean motor vehicle report (MVR) 3 years no incidents .
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy of quantities pulled or stocked locations.
- Ensure product is safely stored to prevent internal damage and properly located.
- Pull customer orders and ensure accuracy with customer orders.
- Assist with local deliveries, driving automatic van.
- Must have driver’s license and a clean MVR, 3 years no incidents.
Qualifications:
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Willing and able to operate material handling equipment.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time.
- Must have a valid driver license including transportation to branch location.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operates forklift as needed, we provide internal training for all warehouse employees.
- Product knowledge with plumbing material highly desired.
- Ability to communicate clearly, written and verbally.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to lift 50-75 pounds. While mainly standard hours are scheduled for this position, 7AM-5PM, Mon-Fri. Flexibility at times may be required to ensure all orders and job duties are completed by end of shift. Every third Saturday rotation of staff is required, 8AM - 1PM on Saturdays, overtime is required for this role.
