Renesas is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager in its Analog Products Group (part of the Industrial Analog and Power Business Unit). The person in this role will have ownership for a diverse group of product lines ranging from analog signal chain products, to a very specialized and industry leading group of low power SRAM memory products. The Senior Marketing Manager’s responsibilities include the promotion of existing products, as well as setting the strategic direction for the development of new products.
The successful candidate must have strong knowledge of analog circuit principles and products, as well as a working knowledge of memory products. The candidate must have a strong sense of initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively across various functional organizations such as Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, Product Engineering, and Sales. Technical depth is a must in order to be effective in defining new products, and interacting with engineers both internally and externally. This role will involve regular interactions with team members in US, and Japan, as well as regular travel to fulfill marketing and business development responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gain deep understanding of the product portfolio and its customer base, create business development plans to improve market penetration, design-win success, and drive revenue growth.
Lead new product definition and the overall roadmap. Gain broad knowledge of market requirements and the competitive landscape. Collaborate with the engineering team members located in US and Japan to define and develop new product offerings.
Develop new product business plans, present to senior management for approval. Own and drive business plan success metrics.
Work with the sales and business planning teams to forecast revenue, drive financial targets.
Manage and develop relationships with technology partners (internal and external), ensure products are well positioned in the ecosystem.
Communicate effectively with management, provide regular reports capturing major customer opportunities, track resolution of issues impacting products and revenue.
Develop material for new product Go To Market activities (including marketing campaigns)
Develop and deliver training to the sales and FAE teams.
Keep up with the time zone demands of working with international team locations.
15+ Semiconductor experience, with at least 10 years in marketing, and 3-5 years as an Applications or Design Engineer.
Ideal candidate will have background in both analog and digital IC’s. Have strong knowledge of Analog IC’s such as Operational Amplifiers, Comparators, Switches, … etc. as well as at least a basic understanding of memory products.
Channel marketing and sales experience for horizontal analog products.
Proven track record of setting product line strategy, developing new products, and growing revenue.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and comfort with presenting to a wide range of audiences from individual contributor level, and up to the executive level.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with major consumers on both technical, and business levels.
Self-driven, highly motivated individual capable of taking full ownership of his/her activities.
>20% Domestic and international travel will be required
BS degree in Electrical Engineering required; MBA, MS a plus.
