WorkSafe-USA, Inc. is a hearing conservation and health and safety company that serves clients throughout the US. As part of our hearing conservation services, we provide on-site hearing testing and consultation for industrial clients, helping them meet OSHA standards for hearing conservation.
Occupational Hearing Technician
In this role you will be responsible for working directly with our clients providing exemplary customer service through administering on-site hearing testing for their employees, as well as assisting clients with other health and safety compliance services that we offer, as needed.
The ideal candidate will enjoy travel (average of 3 days/week) and working independently, while serving our clients within the Midwest Region (KY, TN, OH, IN primarily). When the business needs of our clients dictate, overnight stays and working outside traditional office hours are required.
In addition, our Hearing Technicians work collaboratively with our staff Audiologists by providing thorough and accurate documentation of hearing test results and identifying any historical testing data needed, upon completion of client visits. You will also be responsible for tracking and submitting client visit details (expenses, billable hours, etc.) and ensuring your designated company vehicle, equipment, and other resources are maintained appropriately.
HS diploma or equivalent with additional training or certification in related field preferred but not required. Knowledge of related OSHA regulations helpful. If not currently certified, Hearing Technicians are required to become certified by the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC). WorkSafe USA, Inc. pays for this related training and certification.
Qualified candidates must be at least 21 years old due to company vehicle insurance requirements.
Successful candidates must be able to travel on a regular basis, operate a vehicle, and lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, meet insurance coverage requirements, and successfully pass a background check.
Compensation & Benefits
To support travel and testing duties, our Hearing Technicians are provided with a customized WorkSafe-USA, Inc. van and a company credit card for travel expenses.
Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision, along with paid time off and the ability to work from home when not at a client location.
Following successful completion of a 90-day Introductory Period, associates receive a compensation adjustment to $28,000 ($26,500 during training) and become eligible for monthly commission per assignment and a quarterly bonus based on meeting and exceeding established performance goals.
