The SVP level Chief Administrative Officer “CAO”, plays a key role in the daily management of the business, its products and people. Focused primarily on the support for the Global Head of Front Office Platforms, Liquidity and Financing for state street bank, the CAO, is responsible for all daily support to the organization and its businesses to execute against the strategic & tactical initiatives. The CAO acts as the central point for business management across the division globally, providing management support and responsible for engaging all business management functions for daily execution and delivery. The CAO is also a conduit for information flow to other functions across the bank.
Representative for the Global Head of Front Office Platforms, Liquidity and Financing on necessary regional and global operating committees
Development and maintenance of core management reporting, dashboards and key risk indicators
Development/coordination of key messaging to all partners e.g. board of directors, board committees, rating agencies
Offer clear direction and mentorship to management teams on global initiatives
Support new business development and effectively lead projects across multiple, risk, strategic, transformation, and cross-functional initiatives
Manage and lead around operational risk and supervision, which entail refinement of existing processes within the bank
Work with management to actively identify and implement process changes
Key partner in developing a strong risk and control culture across all regions; all daily activities associated with improved control frameworks are to be supported by the CAO
Thought Leadership: Candidates must have a highly developed sense of judgment and the ability to balance business needs in an objective and practical way is critical
Managerial Leadership: Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to motivate employees, build teams and relationships and engender a sense of results-orientation
Influencing and Partnering Skills: Candidates must have the proven ability to form constructive relationships with State Street executives and clients
Confirmed skills in problem assessment and resolution as well as collaborative problem solving in a complex setting required
You should possess excellent communications skills with evidence of successful leadership and administrative/supervisory experience
Ability to detect emerging trends and encourage and make recommendations for creative change
Results focused individual with the persistence and patience necessary to work effectively with a variety of internal and external constituents
Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with senior level staff, middle management and support divisions as required
Possess excellent analytical skills with 5+ years’ experience in analytics and/or reporting.
You've shown success at applying analytic methods to take on business problems, interpreting data and communicating analytical results to peers and management is required.
You have validated quality in project management and the ability to handle multiple priorities and lead team efforts as necessary
Minimum of 10 years of executive management experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience in roles including strategy and planning along with staff management
Advanced degree or MBA in business administration preferred
