The Software Developer will be responsible for performing analysis and development tasks for TD Ameritrade’s applications and systems. The incumbent typically has 2-3 years of application development experience is required. This position exists within the Data Warehouse Production Support team. We source over 60-70 databases and over 20 vendors to bring internal/external data into the Data Warehouse, where the data is cleansed , standardized and integrated, The data is used by over 800 business analysts for their Operational and Reporting needs, The Data Warehouse team is a very visible group and supports all lines of business in the firm.
Work on SalesForce Incident tickets (60-70 per week) – involves working with Financial Consultants , executing SQL queries in Oracle and verifying results in SalesForce
Review capacity and monitoring of our applications and design, then implement or manage enhancements to improve their stability
Analyze the issues being raised against our applications and design, then implement or manage enhancements to prevent any future occurrences of these problems or issues
Document and maintain Run Book for our applications
Automate repeated processes
Track SLAs for all processes and communicate to Business in case of delays
Maintain logs of all issues and ensure resolutions according to quality assurance tests for all production processes.
Review and maintain robust continuity of business processes
Provide technical solutions and liaise with the Operations business during critical production outages
Manage the remediation tasks following critical outages, to avoid repeat failures
Work with the Development and Release Management teams to ensure robust code implementations.
Provide reporting to Operations and Technology Management, that facilitate strategic and tactical initiatives
Liaise with Operations business in translating their problems in to technical solutions
Provide technical and business solutions to off-shore teams who require direction in their approach
Create innovative solutions and proactive approaches to optimizing processes
Follow thru to ensure each problem is resolved according to SLA
Effectively communicate issues and status updates with business users, second level support, and development teams
Training, both on the job training and presented training courses.

4 Year College Degree; Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience in Production support or software development for 1- 3 years, preferably in financial industry
Experience in a demanding environment, working to strict deadline
Experience in a service based environment would be beneficial
Experience in analyzing and solving problem
Experience in the Financial Industry would be beneficia
Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
