Joining Microsoft in the Customer Growth Organization’s (CGO) Modern Workplace Organization as a Business Program Manager (Compete) for Specialist Sales, you will be acting as the glue across the business between MW Sales, Architecture, and Technical Sales and Readiness in order to develop and operate sales programs enabling Microsoft to sell the best-in-class cloud service and platforms to our Enterprise and SMC customers. In this critical role you will identify opportunities that we can drive to accelerate MW sales by managing sales programs that are crucial to our success and provide direct support to our MW sellers and leadership.

Drive successful Modern Workplace sales programs through strategic, programmatic and effective leadership

Engaging with key capabilities to design, operationalize, and monitor the performance of MW competitive sales programs, identifying areas of competitive gaps and differentiation, and designing/prioritizing areas of improvement.
Designing and executing competitive sales research and analysis projects to identify root causes of wins, losses and competitive gaps; synthesize insights and intelligence and develop solutions alongside virtual teams of knowledge experts, and drive direct implementation of the changes in partnership with Field and Corp.
Supporting the innovative design and execution of pilot projects, with aim to reduce competitive threats, to train and empower the field, and to inform and educate LT on our competitive position.
Ability to translate feedback from our field sales leaders and technical sales teams to categorize feedback into technical product gaps, solution opportunities, or financial benefits that can be offered to remove competitive sales blockers and accelerate deal closure.
Influence upward and outward across Partner and Marketing teams to ensure that field inputs and data are associated and communicated in a meaningful and impactful manner in order to directly influence and accelerate our competitive sales strategies.
Enabling key understanding of local program execution variance – partner with regional team members to identify and properly document critical variations, building clear subject matter expertise while articulating justifications to leadership for required deviation from standard areas of procedure.
Leveraging an agile mindset to test, try, learn, and grow methodologies for achieving customer success as part of a new and fast-moving team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

+5 years of Program Management, Change Management, or Project Management.
+5 years experience in an organization change agent role, or a business problem solver role
+2 years of experience with Cloud-based sales motions.

Assembling, leading and working within strong cross-group (v-team) and matrixed team environments
Thrives in a fast pace, quick-to-change environment where competitive deliverables rely on speed to market and quick decision making
Track record of problem solving and using pilot programs, prototypes and growth hacking approaches
Out of the box thinking to strategize on competitive positioning in both reactive and proactive modes
Ability to easily transition from high-level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
Strong, confident executive communication (written and oral) with the ability to influence without authority
Engine building, project management and operational excellence with a focus on operational and process execution and efficiency
Must be hands-on, self-motivated and capable of completing tasks with minimum supervision in a dynamic and constant changing environment.
Passionate building a competitive muscle in the business to ensure Microsoft wins in the MW space
Education – Bachelor’s degree (B.S or B.A) required and/or experience in relevant fields: MBA preferred
