Job Summary
The Digital Marketing Specialist role is a full-service position within our marketing department responsible for both Account Management and SEO Campaign Management for existing and new customers. This role encompasses nearly the entire lifecycle of a client relationship and campaign, from research and strategy to client communications, campaign optimization, and reporting. With a focus on single-service campaigns, the goal is to support our department's growing account list. What to Expect When Applying:
- Our HR Manager will review applications.
- Applicants will go through a short phone screening process to gather more information
- Candidates still in the running for the position will then be required to take a 10 minute skills assessment.
- Upon passing the skill evaluation, potential hires will have a formal interview via video call with the HR Manager and another member of the Marketing Department.
- Top Candidates will then have one final interview with the company's executive team before an offer is made.
- All applicants given an offer letter will be subject to a standard background check. We also complete an i-9 check for eligibility to work within the United States and complete a W-2 check in case of multi-employment situations.
Responsibilities
Onsite SEO Optimization
- Work with in-house development team to optimize on page aspects of client websites for maximized performance
- Optimize website content for maximum visibility and ranking in search engines
- Optimize meta tags (title, description, headers) and images (alt tags, file names)
- Identify, monitor, and implement on and off-page changes to improve the website performance
Content Optimization
- Use AI tools to generate, publish, and optimize content for web pages and blog posts
- Perform content gap analysis to optimize existing content and identify new content creation opportunities
- Ensure all content is aligned with SEO best practices and target keywords
Technical SEO
- Run site audits to identify technical SEO issues and correct them (using tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush)
- Fix indexing and crawling issues to ensure search engines can properly index the site
- Optimize page load speeds and mobile usability
- Ensure website architecture and URL structure are SEO-friendly
- Identify and fix duplicate content issues
Local SEO
- Optimize Google My Business listings and ensure consistency across local citations
- Manage online reviews and local search rankings
- Implement local SEO tactics to improve visibility in local search results
Link Building Management
- Develop and implement a link-building strategy to improve domain authority
- Collaborate and manage third-party service for link-building service
- Monitor and analyze the backlink profile to ensure link quality and compliance with Google's guidelines
Performance Tracking, Analysis & Reporting
- Set up and maintain SEO performance tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools
- Monitor and report on key SEO metrics, including search engine impressions, organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversions
- Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for ongoing SEO improvement
- Regularly use industry software to research, analyze and improve campaigns (Screaming Frog, Google Page Speed, Google Lighthouse, Agency Analytics, Google Analytics)
- Perform ongoing keyword research, expansion, and optimization
- Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses in their SEO campaign
Campaign Setup (Occasionally)
- Participate in the SEO campaign setup process including keyword & competitor research, content opportunities, onsite seo, technical seo and seo tools setup
Account Management
- Account management and customer support as the point of contact for a group of existing clients (12-15 accounts)
- Conduct campaign virtual meeting reviews with client’s monthly or quarterly
Other Responsibilities
- Work with Digital Strategist quarterly to find new opportunities for campaigns
- Work with Google Ads manager on campaign communications and reviews
Skills / Experience
- Broad knowledge of SEO and digital advertising solutions
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experience (3+ years)
- Detailed understanding of and monitoring search engine algorithms to determine what governs the behavior of the crawlers, and influences them to rank pages
- Customer Service and Account Management
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal)
- Understanding of digital marketing tools such as SEM Rush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
- Experience with Google Analytics (GA), Google Search Console (GSC), and Google My Business
- Understanding of keyword research and competitor analysis as it relates to digital marketing
- Experience with WordPress
- Generative AI experience, such as ChatGPT
- Website design and development knowledge (plus)
- Writing and content creation skills (plus)
- Google Ads (PPC) experience (plus)

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
