Leads cross-functional teams composed of business users, IT staff, trainers, and informatics in system implementation project lifecycle for technical IT solutions. Responsible for all phases of IT projects including scope definition, work planning, executing, training planning, change management, and implementation. Acts as the key point of contact for project efforts. Provides workflow and IT technical principles (IT concepts, architecture, and vocabulary) expertise. Applies Lean principles and A3 thinking to problem solve, resolve process issues, and improve customer experience. Consults with business and IT leadership, management, and work unit teams. Analyzes and documents current and future state workflow processes and IT system configuration, and recommends strategies for optimal integration of IT systems and use. Performs system maintenance and enhancement build within scope of standard work.

Essential Responsibilities:
PLANNING OVERSIGHT & COORDINATIONCollaborates with sponsors and team members to plan and organize the work of project staff, refine project charter, scope of work, timeline, project organization, deliverables and metrics. Serves as a liaison between project technical teams and business owners to assure ongoing effective development and use of IT systems and related work flows. Coordinates all aspects of IT system enhancements and upgrades incorporating both business process improvement and IT principles and best practices. Is responsible for timely, quality project implementation. Ensures all project deliverables are properly developed, maintained and documented including: requirements and objectives; timelines; schedules; and work, change management, communication, training and implementation plans. Identifies and requests team resources. Facilitates team processes. Monitors progress to plan. May work on more than one project simultaneously as capacity permits.

BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS & WORK FLOW CONSULTATION, ANALYSIS, & RECOMMENDATIONSApplying Lean principles and A3 thinking, assists key client groups and sponsors in defining IT requirements including: business requirements, return on investment, make/buy analysis, alignment with strategic plans, technical solutions, project scope and project budget estimates. Leads and conducts analysis of client business processes and functional requirements and prepares appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information. Leads development of project team recommendations for new and innovative system/services to address service line/work unit problems and goals.

COMMUNICATION & IT TRAINING Builds and maintains effective working relationships; enlists support for IT efforts; plans and manages positive and constructive communications with key leaders and staff. Develops and maintains reports, recommendations, and project deliverables and communicates regularly via written and oral presentations to management teams, leaders, and staff. Stores documentation in a well organized, accessible electronic location. May perform as an ongoing single point of contact for key client groups. Acts as a liaison between clients and technical team members. Performs pre-implementation training and presentations for application optimizations using materials created by instructional designers.

APPLICATION ANALYSIS & SUPPORT Analyzes customer build requests and performs system changes & QA within scope of standard work. Evaluates change enhancements to the IT system in collaboration with users, management and Application Configuration Team. Assesses feasibility and impact of proposed changes in the IT system and in the care delivery/business system. Provides IT application problem identification, follow up, and resolution using problem management software. Provides cooperative-wide 24/7 On-Call consultation and problem follow up with users and IT groups. Provides Command Center support and/or on-site support for go-lives. Identifies training needs through user and system assessments and practice observations. Provides feedback reporting to promote acceptance and optimal use of IT systems.
