Position Highlights:
The Development Associate is an integral member of a team of stewardship professionals and provides administrative support to members of the team. Reporting to the Director of Stewardship, and with assignments from other areas within the stewardship function, the Development Associate will provide support for the planning and execution of stewardship functions and communication projects. Additional tasks will be assigned including handling mail, assisting with mailings and meeting scheduling.

Position Responsibilities:
Stewardship Team Support: Work with Stewardship team to produce supplemental acknowledgement letters, welcome packets, manage gift club data process, develop honor roll listings, provide special report support and project management support, in addition to special projects as assigned.
Data Management: Develop, manage and analyze honor roll list data and donor information.
Administrative Duties: Manage administrative tasks for Director, such as mailing and phone duties, calendar management, management of central file documents, office supply management, info gathering for briefing packets and production of mailings. Tasks will include scheduling meetings, handling mail, delivering stewardship materials to faculty, tracking stewardship activities and contact reports in Advance (Philanthropy's data management system), producing stewardship mailings, assisting with acknowledgement tasks and other general administrative duties.
Other Duties: The Development Associate will also support the work of the stewardship team by providing administrative assistance as necessary.

Position Qualifications Include:
A Bachelor's degree, ideally in communications, marketing, English, or fundraising major. Two years' experience a plus.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with HTML, Web-based content management systems and e-communications programs a plus.
Ability to effectively manage large amounts of data, mailing lists, and giving information.
Excellent verbal, grammar, and spelling skills; pro-active and resourceful nature.
Commitment to quality and timeliness in all aspects of work; strong organizational skills; and pride and ownership in work product.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment; and ability to attend/work evening events.
