Job Responsibilities: The Extension Web Communication Specialist will manage a dynamic digital presence to support SDSU Extension’s educational outreach efforts on its web platform https://extension.sdstate.edu. This position will build upon an established brand and will work collaboratively to provide digital solutions that support needs-based and engaging program delivery.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of:
- Computer science including hands-on web development experience
- Drupal 8.9.6 or similar open-source technology
- Web accessibility
- Content strategy and layout
- Customer service practices
Skill & Ability to:
- Work collaboratively with Extension departments
- Manage multiple projects at one time
- Communicate with technical and non-technical clients and translate their needs, ideas or suggestions into logical solutions to business problems while providing exceptional customer service
- Analyze and resolve information system problems
- Use and apply standard principles, theories and concepts of computer coding and design
Comments: This position is classified as a Programmer/Analyst. SDSU is a tobacco free environment.
