Wells Fargo Advisors (WFA) Credit Margin team within Asset Movement Retirement Operations is excited to announce an opening for a Business Liaison Consultant 3 (BLC3) to join the team in St Louis, MO! This individual contributor’s role is vital to the successful operation of the team, the department, and overall business continuity. Primary responsibilities are providing leadership, strategic/tactical direction, and offering input on critical issues to meet firm and regulatory requirements and objectives. The BLC3 participates in the development of large-scale products, service standards, and development efforts that concern the entire business area and must understand and actively manage the systems and platforms that affect Credit Margin responsibilities and functions. Identifying business constraints and reading business requirement documentation as well as functional design specifications are duties necessary in this role. The BLC3 in this assignment serves as a liaison in all operations and some technology activities, working on system enhancements and identifying areas for process efficiency. The BLC3 will collaborate with Information Technology (IT), Product, and Operations partners to document the upstream, core processing, and downstream touch-points and functionality from a business perspective. The BLC3 will also serve as the primary point of contact and escalation point to the business area for the resolution of unresolved problems, complaints, and complex service requests. To be successful in this position the ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of all WFA systems including but not limited to BETA, Service Request, Business Process Management (BPM), and Wisdom.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess proven relationship-building ability and experience leveraging collaboration and consensus forming skills. The BLC3 in this role must demonstrate the ability to interact with individuals at all levels, within the organization and with external business partners and third-party vendors. This position serves as the liaison to various areas within WFA as well as our partners across the Wells Fargo Enterprise; including the Community Bank, Private Bank, channel representatives and other stakeholders in the firm.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business operations, implementation, or strategic planning; or 4+ years of legal experience which includes the review, evaluation and response to agency, law firm, or regulatory inquiries
1+ year of project management experience
1+ years of relationship management experience with business and technology partners

Desired Qualifications

Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
SQL experience
Exposure to Wells Fargo BDW (Brokerage Data Warehouse) system
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding broker dealer roles and FINRA Rules
4+ years of Beta experience
Experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements which may include workflows, process maps, or business processes
Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment

Other Desired Qualifications
5+ years experience in Credit Margin

Job Expectations

Ability to work on call as assigned
