If so, the Office of Administrative Hearings in Oakland is recruiting for an Office Clerk that will be responsible for a wide spectrum of legal clerical and administrative duties, including but not limited to:

  • Serve as first point of contact for the customers, clients and guests
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties for the office such as answering phones on a multi-line system, distributing mail, and coordinating services for hearings
  • Proofreading, formatting, and typing legal documents
  • Scanning and transmitting legal documents utilizing Microsoft Word, DocuSign, and Adobe Acrobat

Please note, the state title for this position is the Office Technician (Typing), we are also considering the Senior Legal Typist.

Since this is a civil service position, anyone appointed to the Office Clerk position must take a civil service exam.

Salary: $2,928.00 to $4,093.00 /month

Experience:

  • legal clerical work: 1 year (Preferred)
  • typing and clerical: 2 years (Preferred)

Education:
