The Acquisitions credit policy team within Risk Management in responsible for designing credit policy for new customers across all channels – Digital/Mail/Bank etc. The position will conduct rigorous credit and statistical analysis with a focus on Modeling, segmentation, policy design to ensure Citi targets and books the right customers within its risk appetite guardrails.
The team is responsible for the following:
Design sophisticated acquisitions credit policy for multiple channels and products
Leverage state of the art modeling techniques including machine learning for underwriting and decision making. Explore ways to scale the use of Big data for credit policy
Design tests leveraging innovative techniques like Design of Experiments to measure risk performance by key levers
Ownership of policy analytics from conception to execution, including tracking of performance
Identify business opportunities; develop credit tests and risk strategies, balancing risk and return
Optimize initial credit lines across channels commensurate with the risk
Advance machine learning and big data agenda across the risk organization
Communicate policy changes and test recommendations, program approvals, performance trends with key stakeholders, senior management and external regulators.
Lead and manage meetings with key business partners like Marketing, product, Finance, and Legal
Manage and analyze testing agenda in branded card acquisitions risk
Communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders
Manage multiple projects simultaneously through effective project management. Create, update, and track project plans for multiple deliverables.
Mentor and coach junior team members
Bachelor’s Degree required in statistics, mathematics, engineering, physics, economics, or related quantitative discipline
5+ year’s experience in risk management, financial services or relevant field
Experience with analytical or data manipulation tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, R, SPSS)
Proficient with MS Office suite
Excellent quantitative and analytic skills; ability to derive patterns, trends and insights, and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis
Ability to build effective presentations to communicate analytical findings to a wide array of audiences
Effective cross-functional project, resource, and stakeholder management; effectively engage with internal audit and external regulators
Experience with end-to-end project planning and management
Understanding of basic P&Ls of Cards / loans business
