Key Role:
Craft and manage the writing material created by the corporate marketing and communications team for Booz Allen Hamilton, from digital writing to advertising and video scripts. Create messages that inspire action and create measurable results. Interview subject matter experts on technical topics, draft copies for online materials, adhere to set deadlines, and tell stories consistently on brand and within project scope. Translate complex concepts into clear, engaging narratives that make a logical and emotional connection. Leverage writing expertise that span both digital and offline marketing needs and that will ensure Web content is on brand and adds value to existing and potential clients.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a copywriter, content strategist, content manager, or content marketing strategist
  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) guidelines and keyword research tools, including Moz and Google Keyword Planner
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems, including Adobe Experience Manager
  • Knowledge of basic HTML and Web publishing
  • Ability to present a portfolio or links to published work
  • Ability to pivot between writing and editing technical, editorial, marketing, and advertising copy
  • Ability to collaborate with and take direction from marketing, digital, and design teams to produce various content types
  • BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with assessing abstract ideas and distill them into tactical concepts and next steps
  • Experience with tailoring campaign themes to resonate with targeted audiences
  • Experience with optimizing content according to SEO
  • Experience with project management
  • Ability to incorporate a consistent brand voice across digital, print, social, broadcast, and multimedia
  • Ability to write and edit in the English language
  • Ability to collaborate with and motivate team members
  • Ability to adhere to an editorial calendar to ensure timely publication
  • Ability to maintain and comply to Booz Allen style guides
  • Ability to write to various audiences in different phases of the buyer's journey
  • Ability to research industry-related news and generate ideas around trending topics
  • Ability to review and update published content as needed
  • Possession of time-management and organization skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • BA or BS degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, or Business
