Job Summary

Picasso Restaurant Group is looking for an experienced and zealous Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing Department. The Marketing Assistant is responsible for providing overall support to the Marketing Director with a focus on the execution of marketing events, social media support and management, and coordinating the integration, utilization, and maximization of relevant sales tools/technologies as directed.

Essential Job Functions

  • Establish and manage project timelines
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget
  • Support Marketing Director by assisting with:
  • Maximization of Salesforce and other mass mailing and event management technologies to drive marketing, client communication and business development efforts
  • Coordination of marketing mailings
  • Preparation of presentations, materials and business letters
  • Assist with planning, coordinating and scheduling of special events
  • Facilitating the improvement of business practices, policies and procedures in connection with newly integrated systems for marketing and business development * Administration of social media outlets
  • Maintenance of the Facebook and Instagram page
  • Provide monthly reporting on activity and usage statistics for the Social Media outlets
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Social Media Policy * PR Support
  • Administration of divisional responsibilities
  • Keep an inventory of supplies and marketing materials and replenish as needed
  • Attend and take notes at required meetings and provide feedback or follow through when required
  • Handle phone inquiries from prospects, clients, and vendors and respond as appropriate
  • Schedule meetings in Outlook and maintain calendars and task lists
  • Newsletter calendar/coordination

Requirements

  • All other duties as assigned
  • Proven experience as a marketing assistant
  • Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
  • Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Expertise with strategies, writing, imaging, and scheduling/posting on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, graphic design, MailChimp, Hubspot, and WordPress are a plus
  • Must have superb grammar, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • High School diploma; BSc in Marketing, Business or relevant field is a strong advantage
