Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s). Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision required.
Minimum Position Qualifications:Education:
Candidates must meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas.
- Hospital/Clinic - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Required
- JACC – Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) within two years of employment.
- MSN- Preferred
License / Certification:
- Five (5) years professional RN experience.
- Three (3) years professional Cath Lab experience.
- Minimum of two years clinical experience in specific clinical area.
Current license to practice professional nursing from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
BLS required within thirty (30) days of employment.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
Specialty certification related to practice.
Supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
Computer skills preferred.
ACLS and/or PALS.
