Peace of Mind Living Habilitative Services LLC is seeking a full-time Residential Maintenance

Technician who will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the agency's Community Homes,

Agency Vehicles, and all areas related to the day to day maintenance operations of the Community

Homes. The ideal candidate has a full range of knowledge including general handyman skills, routine

vehicle maintanence, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, landscaping, and HVAC, and will be

willing and able to perform varied tasks from yard maintenance to home repairs.


The Residential Maintenance Technician will make rounds and have access to all Community Homes

owned and operated by Peace of Mind Living Habilitative Services LLC. This position is a 4 day


and will include at least one weekend day per week. The

Residential Maintenance

Technician will also be on-call for 24 hour emergency maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Is responsible for the facility grounds such as

grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping.


grounds must be maintained in an orderly fashion; free from hazards, debris, weeds, and

clutter. Sidewalks and driveways must be free from snow, ice, leaves, mulch, and in good


Is responsible for trash removal and pick up by local municipalities

(Monroeville-Trash day is

Tuesday. Trash is to be put out anytime after 4pm.)

(Plum-Trash day is Wednesday. Trash is to

be put out anytime after 4pm on Tuesday.)

  • Is responsible for maintaining both homes in good standing. This includes painting, replacing
  • worn or stained tiles, repairing furniture, locks, baseboards, trim, windows etc.


  • Is responsible for assuring the electrical system is in good working order and all electrical
  • appliances are in good working order: this includes all light fixtures (interior/exterior of homes),
  • lamps, fuse box, fire alarms/smoke detectors.


  • Is responsible for repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances,


doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors.

Is responsible for assuring that all plumbing is in working order and in good repair.

Is responsible for organizing fire drills and completing

Fire Drill Forms

and assuring that all

fire safety equipment is in working order and it is inspected on a regular schedule by the

appropriate services.

Conduct preventative maintenance as assigned to include but not be limited to facility logs such


Water Temperatures and Room Temperatures Logs

in each of the Community Homes.

Is responsible for maintaining all facility equipment. This would include, but is not limited to

washers, dryers, boilers, air conditioners, furnaces, and lawn equipment (mowers, hedge

trimmer, weed eaters, blowers).

May be required to assist staff in moving residents and furniture.

Assures personal and staff compliance with all State and Federal regulations including blood

borne pathogens, infection control, hazardous materials, fire safety, and building, electrical, and

plumbing codes.

Routine maintenance on vehicles such as oil changes, tire rotations, diagnostic testing.

Routine car wash (once per week) exterior and interior.

Is responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance.

Attend and participate in educational activities, in-service training, and staff meetings; assist in

orientation and training other staff with completion of

Participate in Quality Improvement activities as assigned.

Other duties as assigned or needed.


Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Salary: $11.00 to $12.00 /hour
