Summary

Lidl US is searching for the next Consultant- Corporate Affairs to join our team! The Consultant- Corporate Affairs is responsible for supporting the Corporate Affairs team in day-to-day internal communications, government relations, and CSR management. This role will design and draft internal content & digital content, help manage the CSR workstream and act as a liaison between international Lidl colleagues and Lidl US.

**This position reports to our Headquarters in Arlington, VA on a hybrid 3-day schedule.

What You’ll Do

Manages projects, work processes, systems, and/or procedures to ensure efficient workflow
Update guidelines, standard operating procedures, and instructional materials
Identify, develop, and propose opportunities for business and process improvement
Manage the development, operation, and execution of internal and external communications and CSR initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
Maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, including those in the press (business, retail, sustainability), government, industry and relevant non-profit and civil society groups
Assist in the development of Lidl US’ corporate social responsibility report ensuring a consistent narrative
Coordinate and support corporate/brand events including grand store openings
Responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs in executing the department strategy
Proactively manage workstreams and work within tight deadlines and changing priorities
Design materials including social media content, slide decks and fact sheets
Other duties as assigned

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

Bachelor’s degree
2-4 years of experience in a related field
In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above

Preferred Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

5 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing or related field
Social media (LinkedIn) content development experience
