Process Development Engineering at Dell spans industrial, manufacturing, electrical and chemical engineering disciplines. It’s a hub of expertise that is at the heart of bringing our ground-breaking innovations to life. The team enjoys a far-reaching remit – from determining and developing the operations required for product assembly, through to estimating manufacturing costs, determining time standards and recommending tooling and process requirements. What’s more, these trailblazers lead on Engineering Change Management across our product life cycles.
Support Manufacturing Operations to initiate process improvements to improve factory output and reduce cycle time.
Making effective repairs to equipment by identifying/troubleshooting problems as they occur, then taking appropriate steps to resolve in accordance with documented procedures.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks and documenting activities.
Work closely with engineers and operations management to fulfill internal customer needs and communicate results.
Maintain spare parts, preventative maintenance, and calibration systems for the work area.
Investigating/vetting new material handling and equipment for use in production
Implement new tools and equipment and provide necessary training to operators per EH&S requirements.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Possess good PC skills and be fully competent in MS Office tools including, Outlook, Excel, Word etc.
Possess strong problem solving, interpersonal communication, and decision-making skills.
Experience supporting complex production equipment
Strong troubleshooting skills in the area of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and computer controlled systems.
Able to utilize mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, computers and computer control systems.
AutoCAD or Solidworks experience
