Job Description Summary
The Gift Shop Clerk performs a variety of duties related to the operation of the Gift Shop and interacts with the customers in a friendly and helpful manner to promote good customer service and sales. Assists the Retail Services Director in routine matters, answering inquiries, and relieving the Director of clerical and minor managerial duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
High School graduate or equivalent. Experience in retail sales. Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Preferred
Knowledge of merchandising and inventory methods.
LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals. Ability to plan and organize effectively.
SKILLS:
Ability to utilize standard gift shop equipment (cash register, credit card machine, employee charge machine, helium tank, and calculator). Good organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
