SunTrust Bank is seeking a Legal Operations Analyst to monitor, research, compile, and report legal operational data and information related to legal department functions. The Legal Operations Analyst will leverage analytic and technical skills to innovate, build, and maintain well-managed reporting processes and may lead Ad Hoc projects with medium complexity. This position requires advanced knowledge and experience with presentation, spreadsheet, and database applications.
The position reports to the Legal Operations Executive and regularly directly interacts with teammates in the legal department and across the enterprise. Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:
- Producing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting such as scorecards, dashboards, or other reports to drive efficiencies and data driven decision making
- Leveraging a variety of data skills to analyze data and make recommendations
- Preparing presentations across various topics including strategy, forecasting and budgeting, and outside counsel management
- Managing legal operations projects and provide support on various other on-going projects
- Serving as the backup administrator for legal department systems
Strong knowledge of the business unit
Experience on project teams
Experience managing a segment of the project work
Demonstrated ability to achieve desired results, particularly through working with others
Strong problem-solving and partnership skills
Professional communications skills
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office skills
Strong SharePoint skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Must be capable of handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
Basic understanding of process or project methodologies such as Six Sigma, TQM, Lean, Kanban, Agile, Scrum, etc.
Experience with leading legal systems (eBilling, matter management, contract management, etc)
