Job description
Part time NYS licensed optician needed for an extremely busy optical center located within a medical practice in Syracuse, NY. Responsible for dispensing eyeglasses accurately following prescriptions written by ophthalmologists or optometrists and includes assisting patient selecting frames, collecting eye measurements, preparing work order for laboratory, dispensing, adjusting frames and educating patients.
Requirement: NYS ophthalmic dispenser license
Work schedule: 3 days a week- No nights or weekends.
Preferred work experience: 2 years’ experience as a dispensing optician in a chain store or private practice. Prefer Medent experience.
Necessary skills: Excellent communication skills, good manual dexterity, ability to multi-task, ability to remain calm under pressure, trial framing and prism work.
Experience:
