CORPORATION: Anka Behavioral Health is a private non-profit agency providing community mental health services. Services include crisis, transitional and long-term residential treatment, day rehabilitation, assisted and independent living, vocational rehabilitation and employment services, multi-service centers and a shelter for the homeless. Corporation services are provided throughout California. The Mission of Anka BHI is to eliminate the impact of behavioral health problems for all people.
SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President, the Vice President of Program Services is responsible for ensuring that the service delivery systems and service provider teams meet or exceed County and State requirements for treatment, community safety, documentation of services delivered, oversight of clinical and psycho-educational components to ensure quality control over all programs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the quality of all program service delivery systems, and network of statewide providers
Oversee provision of core services across the Region.
Provide leadership and in program development and implementation
Provide input for grants and proposals.
Provide oversight to the clinical team and psycho-education programs
Oversee and provide consultation and input for hiring, training, supervision, evaluation and separation of staff.
Develop resources for programs.
Assure staff safety at all times.
Coordinate and provide input and consultation in the planning and implementation of programmatic policies and procedures (programmatic design).
Act as community liaison for Anka Behavioral Health, Inc. with all funding sources, providers, referral sources, and program contracts.
Possess a clinical understanding of and therapeutic relationship with staff/clients to facilitate coordinated and supportive treatment approaches.
Assure facility meets health and safety standards SB198, OSHA, and that staff is trained in AIDS Universal Precautions and infection prevention standards (housekeeping), and all other licensing required training.
Review for completion; all county and state required documents and reports.
Provide training and consultation to staff on all aspects of service provision.
Develop new program designs and strategies to encourage innovative client support and organizational growth.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and Anka Behavioral Health, Inc. Policies and Procedures.
Attend Regular meetings (at least quarterly) with Payors to ensure high satisfaction and successful resolution of problems.
Develop, implement, and monitor plans of correction for any programs with more than 2 deficiencies/citations per year.
Develop, implement, and monitor plans of correction for any program failing to adhere to budget.
Participate in development activities (RFP’s, program designs, interviews, etc.) as needed.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Professional License Required: Preferred: LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist - current qualified in California in good standing preferred. Will consider license eligible candidates.
Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, Public Health, Non-Profit Management social, health, behavioral sciences or related field required.
Four (4) years of experience working with clients with mental health disorders and/or developmental/intellectual disabilities
Two (2) years of experience of administrative supervision.
Experience in residential treatment preferred.
Bi-cultural/ bi-lingual experience preferred.
Understanding of how to participate in a network of community-based mental health services. Experience in planning and implementing activities in a psycho-social setting. Knowledge and experience in recognition of treatment modalities for adults who have mental disabilities and substance abuse issues, and therapeutic milieus.
Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., approximately three (3) times per week. Must be able to navigate several flights of stairs during each work shift. Requires some travel. Ability to drive safely in heavy traffic and inclement weather.
Mental Abilities: Ability to think clearly and manage multiple changing priorities, and remain pleasant and positive. Requires critical thinking and ability to manage difficult population. Requires good judgment. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
License Required: California Driver's License. Proof of current auto insurance also required.
