Summary
RPA Developer is responsible for design, build, testing, and implementation of robotics process automation (RPA) solutions. Impacts efficiency and effectiveness of business processes throughout the institution and within UT System. The developer works with RPA Architect, Process Analysts, IT, and other UT System institutions' teams by writing the code into the Blue Prism software. They are involved in the support and maintenance which includes but not limited to modifying for enhancements, troubleshooting, identifying and fixing errors. This position will be one of up to two developer positions recruited.
Key Functions
Designing Blue Prism process solutions in accordance with standard Blue Prism design principles.
Configuring new Blue Prism processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
Creating and maintaining solution documentation.
Participates in peer review of solution designs.
Accurately analyzing and estimating new processes, quickly assessing feasibility.
Analyzing, understanding and documenting the business processes in detail where required.
Identifying and communicating the technical infrastructure requirements.
Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of Blue Prism processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required.
Communicating with Blue Prism on software related issues, suggested improvements and participating with other users in the Blue Prism community.
Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process.
Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases
Supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases
Supports investigation and remediation of production level issues
Supports production deployments processes and performance testing
Supports skills transfer by mentoring newly trained resources on best practices and development techniques
Bachelor's degree. Three years in software development and analysis, to include one year of RPA software programming experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
