Mental Health Therapist Requirements:
Previous experience in a clinical setting
Experience in mental/behavioral health
Passion and excitement for working with young adults or adolescents
Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in a Doctorate program.
Licensed, pre-licensed, or ability to transfer license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychologist in the state in which services are provided
Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults or adolescents
Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred
Mental Health Therapist Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive therapy for adolescents with anxiety, depression, and other mental health and behavioral health issues including substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders.
Maintain in-depth documentation for clinical findings and observations regarding interactions with all assigned patients.
Conduct comprehensive clinical interviews with parents and clients, and synthesize/disseminate significant information to team members.
Develop and manage rapport with each assigned patient along a 28 to 35-day mental wellness journey.
Complete and assist participants in aftercare and discharge planning; partner with patient family members and additional clinical teams.
