THE ROLE
Radio5 is looking an Host/Ticket Taker. As an usher, greeter or ticket taker, you help to ensure safety, help to maintain line control with venue and engage with guests to assist with their needs before, during and after the show.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Greet guests, scan guest tickets upon entry to the venue, answer guest questions, assist guests with locating their seats and examines tickets for entry to various seat levels around the venue during the event.
- Assist with keeping the venue safe, clean and presentable to the guest.
- Resolve guest complaints or problems.
- Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity.
- Provide assistance to with guests with special needs, such as helping with seat accommodations.
- Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency.
- May assist in verifying staff credentials to generally restricted areas.
- Partner with fellow FOH staff at the end of show to close the venue- this may include picking up and properly storing event equipment such as flyers, stationary items etc.
- Assist patrons by giving directions places inside or outside the venue.
- Ensure guests are safely enjoying the show.
- Additional tasks as requested by management.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- Customer service-related work experience is preferred
- Experience using radios and ability to work under pressure in stressful environments is required
- Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
- Must be able to professionally interact with all levels of individuals in a courteous manner and de-escalate situations before they become unpleasant.
- Must be able to stand on your feet for up to four hours at a time and walk long distances
- Must be able to lift up to 20lbs
- Must be able to walk up/down stairs
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $150.00 per day
Schedule:
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only
