WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As Sr Project Manager, the products you develop will be used in Operating Rooms around the world and have a direct impact on surgical patients and hospital staff.
Your work will be a critical element of how we accomplish Stryker’s mission: Together with our customers, we are driven to make healthcare better.
You will play a hands-on leadership role, directly leading project teams to deploy new software on Stryker products.
Your role is not limited to Technical Project Management and includes management of all aspects of the project.
This means understanding the business case for your projects as well as the priorities for our Division so you can make smart decisions and recommendations.
The efforts you lead will typically use Agile methodologies.
To succeed in this role, you should be a leader that people want to follow. You should be an experienced Project Manager with a successful track record of delivering new products to external customers. You should have experience with Agile software development.
You should have excellent stakeholder-management skills. And you should have a clear, demonstrable understanding of business tradeoffs.
Deliver new products to market.
Deliver updates to existing products.
Integrate project plans with those of other PMs
Manage cost, schedule, and performance.
Develop business processes needed to make the project a success.
Manage and inform stakeholders.
Ensure a positive return on investment.
Lead a cross-functional team and ensure all technical and business requirements are met.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
6+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Leadership experience with Agile software development.
Successful track record of launching new products to external customers.
Experience as a project manager.
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
Ability to bring together multiple functions (R&D, Marketing, Quality, Operations, etc.) as a cohesive team
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Preferred: Experience at a medical device company.
