JOB DESCRIPTIONThe position is for a technical engineer and functional manager on a successful Identity Access Management program. We provides the customer with an enterprise Identity and Access Management (IdAM) solution, enabling them to appropriately protect critical mission information. Successful candidate will provide a Technical Execution role supporting the Operations Team, as well as functional management support. The candidate should have a background working within an agile execution construct, and prior management or lead role experience. Ideal candidate has hands on systems engineering experience that is in alignment with supporting the maintenance of an operational system.The systems engineer will be responsible for technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding. Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. Duties include performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.Roles and Responsibilities:There are two primary areas of responsibilities, which include Technical Execution on the Operations team and Functional Management.Engineer will provide technical execution on the Operations team supporting the following areas:Analyze Linux logs and performance data to effectively administer and maintain Oracle IdM stackPerform root cause analysis for operational incidentsAnalyze system performance and take corrective actions as neededAssist in resolving h system and end user problemsCoordinate with mission partners, consumer applications, and other external entities in troubleshooting enterprise incidents and integration problemsCollect data, identify and analyze trends in Operational Incidents, and provide suggestions to mitigate common issuesWork closely with Ops Tech Lead and Development Lead to identify baseline enhancements to improve operational stabilityWork with deployment and ISP teams to support baseline deployments to operationsDesign, develop and implement new application monitoring softwareWillingness to support off hour calls to assist in troubleshooting when high priority operational incidents occurManagement responsibilities may include:Providing leadership and direction to Operations team membersStaffing current program openings for the teamOnboarding new program team members, ensuring they are brought up to speed on the scope of the programExecuting the performance assessment, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions for the team members under purviewUpdating corporate tools related to personnel staffing and functional needsPlanning and allocating resources across program task orders for financial reportingOverseeing training across Operations team membersPerforming timecard review and approval actionsCollect and report O&M metrics
Qualifications:Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to quickly learn new software and IT concepts.Strong problem solving and decision making skills.Self-starter with an ability to work in a team environment and independentlyIntimately familiar with the COTS products that the program leverages: the Oracle Identity and Access Management (IdAM) suite, Apache webgates, and Computer Associates (CA) API GatewayCOTS and FOSS integration experienceExperience scripting in a Linux environment using Shell and BashDeep understanding and background in COTS integration and custom code developmentAdditional preferred skills/experience (not required):Oracle IdAM products (OAM, OIF, OID, OVD, OUD, OIM)WebLogicLinux/UNIX experienceLDAPsPKI authenticationJava/J2EE developmentSecurity Protocols/Concepts (SSL/TLS, PKI, etc.)Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Apache HTTPDCA SecureSpan XML GatewaySOA/Web ServicesEDUCATION:Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
