Under the direction of the HR Business Partner, the HR Admin will provide support to the Human Resources department by working on a variety of HR projects to expand knowledge and experience in various aspects of this discipline.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Maintain and monitor HR inbox.
Assist with general employee inquires.
Ensure completion of new hire paperwork and create employee records.
Assist with College Relations program.
Maintain company contact lists, employee log and temporary employee list
Maintain company organizational chart.
Order business cards.
Create and distribute employee id badges.
Assist with organizing employee appreciation activities and community outreach events at corporate office as well as field operation sites.
Create and distribute companywide HR announcements.
Maintain employee records, including all filing and organization of filing system.
Schedule and monitor results of pre-employment drug screens/ background checks.
Assist with processing payroll changes including promotions, demotions and separations.
Update employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
Maintain the random drug and alcohol testing pool and assist with arranging associated appointments.
Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including email and faxes.
Compose and type routine correspondence.
Maintain communication and good working relationship with contract staffing services.
Other duties as assigned.
Associates degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school; plus three (3) years administrative support and/or human resources experience, required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010 (especially Word and Excel) required.
The successful candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy as well as excellent organizational skills.
Self-starter who is able to prioritize effectively and handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills required.
The qualified candidate will have a demonstrated ability to use diplomacy and tact.
Strong analytical ability and identify opportunities for continuous process improvements.
