New York City Health + Hospitals|Queens, a teaching affiliate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking highly motivated candidates for Director of Otolaryngology/ENT.
New York City Health + Hospitals | Queens, a 300 bed community hospital serving a diverse population in Queens, New York, with both inpatient and outpatient ENT services and a vibrant, fully accredited residency program seeks a Director to lead the Department of Otolaryngology.
The Director of Otolaryngology/ENT is responsible for the administration, planning, organizing, control and overall general management of all hospital based ENT services. The Director will lead the development of ENT service strategy, establish goals and objectives to support that strategy and maintain accountability for the program outcomes. There are a variety of opportunities for program development and academic advancement. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and is easily commutable from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.
Candidates must be BC/BE with a valid New York State License and DEA. Qualified candidates should have strong clinical abilities, teaching experience and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum of five years direct clinical care responsibilities. Experience in a similar role, prior management/leadership or directorship roles in hospital preferred. Experience with academic medical centers, public hospital or health system is preferred. This position offers a faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.
