Great opportunity here at GKOLED with this new Warehouse Supervisor position opening! This individual will serve as frontline management in our vital Warehouse Department, not only learning the day-to-day warehouse responsibilities and existing Standard Operating Procedures with a sense of urgency, but then adhering to, teaching, reinforcing, and upholding those SOP’s with warehouse personnel to achieve a consistently successful operations.
The position will present opportunities to enhance the warehouse from a management level as this individual will be working closely with and directly reporting to the Warehouse Manager. Additionally, at times it’ll be necessary for the Warehouse Supervisor(s) to jump in and assist our 4-5 warehouse associates to ensure completion of tasks within given deadlines, providing chances to work at the ground level with an “all-hands on deck” approach instead of being in a role which just assigns tasks. There will however be a supervisory delegating and overseeing aspect of the job with the expectation that the warehouse personnel is utilized most productively.
The pre-requisites to be considered are 3-5 years general warehouse and 2-3 years warehouse leadership position experience (i.e. Warehouse Lead, Warehouse Coordinator, or Warehouse Supervisor). The expectation of our Warehouse Supervisor(s) is to take ownership of and be fully capable of managing the Warehouse Department’s day-to-day activities, even with the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
The position and warehouse will be held to a high standard of communicating appropriately with contacts both inside and outside the organization, often providing updates or getting clarification, approval, etc. on specific shipments and/or tasks. Additionally, our warehouse will continue to strive toward adhering to our zero mis-shipments initiative, consistently accurate inventory, clean, organized, and safe facility, as well as timely inbound and outbound shipment processing.

Functions:
- Timely Inbound & Outbound Shipment Processing – Ensure deadlines are met for all outbound shipments while timely inbounding shipments received each day.
- Inventory Management – Uphold accurate inventory standards, ensuring physical count matches the system by enforcing accurate picking and put away activities, following up with employees with coaching and progressive discipline, if necessary, when mistakes and/or discrepancies are identified and investigated, communicating when issues arise, and rectifying inventory related issues within given authorizations.
- Maintain Safe & Healthy Working Environment – Make sure team is meeting all safety regulations set by the state and OSHA as well as establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures. Continuous training is developed and presented for discussion on topics such as safe lifting, material handling, vehicle, and forklift operations. Ensure all certifications and license(s) are up to date / valid.
- Facility, Equipment, and Supplies Management – Keep work areas clean and organized, all product within warehouse labelled and put away in appropriate areas, industrial equipment and facility maintenance is kept up (i.e. eye wash station refilled, forklift battery watered, preventative maintenance for order picker coordinated, oil change for delivery van scheduled). Any warehouse supplies not tracked in inventory are consistently counted and ordered well before running out.
- Leadership – Lead warehouse team by taking ownership, becoming an expert on GKOLED product, maintaining excellent communication with your team, across departments, and with vendors. Communicating concerns or delays ASAP while problem solving and proposing alternative options / solutions simultaneously.
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of previous general warehouse experience and 2-3 years warehouse leadership position experience.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills as well as possessing a high level of adaptability.
- Ability to problem solve, set priorities, and manage time effectively is essential.
- Reliability.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Web Browser.
- Capability of following and enforcing standard operating procedures.
- Effectively build strong working relationships and positive working environment with subordinates, peers, and management through conducting one-self in professional manner, possessing a positive attitude, being respectful, approachable, team oriented, and having strong work performance.
- Comfortable being hands on when need be. The following physical activities can be expected and required:
- Standing for long periods of time
- Palletizing freight
- Picking up and setting down fragile boxes up to 50 lbs.
- Bending over and kneeling
- Opening cartons, labeling products, and packages, taping shipments
- Cleaning work areas
- Unloading trucks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
