Successful candidate will play a key role in enabling the Equity Investment Technology’s BSC team to deliver simple, effective, timely and affordable information technology solutions to complex investment decision-making and execution problems/opportunities for the WFAM Equity business. In addition, the candidate will work with the other BSC team members, Software Development teams, EIT Infrastructure team and Governance teams, WellsCap Investment Operations, WellsCap Compliance and key technology vendors as part of implementing technology solutions.
Facilitate the onboarding of investment team acquisitions
Analyze, and define foundational functions/platforms
Contribute to definition of project work streams – planning, sizing and scheduling
Demonstrate an deep understanding of the equity investment business
Demonstrate an deep understanding of the equity trading
Prior experience supporting equity traders, portfolio managers and financial analysts to understand pro-actively the technology needs of the firm’s various equity investment teams and to communicate opportunities, progress, and accomplishments
Works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and validate requirements
Works closely with Systems Development teams to clarify business requirements and translate business requirements to technical requirements
Develops detailed test plans & test cases and conducts system integration & user acceptance testing to validate and certify developed solutions
Conducts user training and promotes solution adoption
Documents clearly and concisely the information necessary to support the applications and solutions
Participates in the daily support and maintenance of the systems and applications
Support to the team’s critical applications
Ensures that escalated issues are tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
5+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both
7+ years of consultative business analysis experience
10 + years of experience supporting electronic trading (etrading) platforms
9+ years of consultative business analysis experience
7+ years of project management experience
7 + years of experience gathering business requirements from various sources including end-users and stakeholders
5+ years of customer relationship management experience
5+ years of customer service experience
7+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools
5+ years of MS SQL server experience
A Master's degree or higher
An active Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
Other Desired Qualifications
5+ years of hands on experience with Charles River IMS, version 9 or greater is a requirement
Experience with and knowledge of WellsCap or Evergreen Investments technology strongly preferred
Ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing business priorities, unexpected challenges meet deadlines and works well under pressure
Demonstrates outstanding flexibility, teamwork and a sense of ownership
Ability to work overtime
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
