Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Team Hazmat-Endorsed Owner/Operator's in Houston, TX to transport 1.1D explosives across the continental U.S. and Canada. As a team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and timely delivery of hazardous materials. This role is ideal for driving teams with a strong track record of safety and regulatory compliance, looking to take on high-paying, specialized freight opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently transport 1.1D explosives in team driving operations across long-haul routes throughout the continental U.S. and Canada.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and Canadian transportation regulations for hazardous materials, particularly explosives.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it meets all safety requirements.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols for handling and transporting hazardous materials in accordance with federal and international guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date driving logs, trip sheets, and necessary compliance paperwork.
- Coordinate with dispatch and clients to ensure prompt pickups and deliveries while staying on schedule.
- Communicate regularly with the team, dispatch, and customers to report on progress, delays, or any potential issues.
Qualifications:
- Both drivers must have valid Class A CDL licenses with Hazmat endorsements.
- Proven experience in transporting hazardous materials, with specific experience in explosives (1.1D classification preferred).
- Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and passports for U.S.-Canada border crossings.
- Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations related to hazardous material transportation.
- A clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
- High level of attention to safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage long-haul routes and adapt to changing conditions.
- Both drivers must pass background checks and regular drug screenings as required by federal law.
