Bar Manager

The bar manager is responsible for ensuring bar operations run smoothly. The bar manager is tasked with paying close attention to all operational details to ensure the comfort, safety and enjoyment of guests, the job satisfaction of staff, and the financial success of the establishment.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee the storage and preparation of beverages to ensure the quality of products served
Set and monitor service standards to ensure the guest experience is consistent and enjoyable
Resolve guest complaints promptly to increase guest satisfaction
Train and motivate staff to increase bar efficiency and guest satisfaction
Conduct regular inventories, monitor inventory; place orders as necessary to ensure adequate product is on hand and handle deliveries
Participate in menu planning and execution to ensure beverage offerings are aligned with brand image and guest preferences
Price out beverage offerings, pay close attention to menu design, respond to sales trends and oversee daily execution of bar to ensure budgeted beverage cost goals are met
Participate in staff education by identify training needs and learning opportunities; implement training programs to ensure staff is properly educated on all beverage offerings and able to confidently sell product to guests
Oversee cleanliness of physical bar and bar storage areas; regularly inspect these areas to ensure health and safety codes are followed
Reconcile beverage purchases against beverage sales to ensure product is being rung in correctly and drinks are being made according to product specifications
Adheres and enforces all Company policies and procedures as well as health and safety rules and regulations
Performs other duties and tasks as needed
Required Skills and Experience

3-5 years of bartending experience
Extensive working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
Competency in resource management and inventory control
Strong customer service orientation
Knowledge of local and state regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance
Preferred Skills and Experience

1-2 management experience and/or related degree

Must maintain active TIPS, Chokesave, and ServSafe certifications
College degree or equivalent preferred
