We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Vice President HR Shared Services (HRSS) position based at our corporate office in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Reporting to Chief Human Resources Officer, this role is a key team member of the AHS HR senior leadership team.

The VP HRSS provides system-wide operations leadership for the following HR Shared Services functions: Employee Contact Center, Employee Services, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition and Continuous Improvement. Ensures the team of HR Shared Services staff provide exceptional customer service by engaging and inspiring the staff, benchmarking performance against internal key performance indicators and best-in-class external standards to meet or exceed established service level agreements within the scope of services provided by HRSS. As the leader of HRSS, serves as a key member of the HR senior leadership team. The incumbent works closely with the CHRO and the HR Strategic Services leadership team to support goal alignment across Human Resources and the mission and vision of Adventist Health System.
Provides leadership to HRSS operations ensuring set Service Level Agreement metrics are exceeded on regular basis
Oversees the operating budget, giving guidance to Directors in the creation and management of each of the departmental budgets within HRSS
Partners with the Deployment team, Corporate Communications, Corporate HR and Organizational Readiness leadership to ensure there is strategic and operational alignment among these functional areas to deliver a seamless transition to HR Shared Services for every facility
Champions AHS-wide standardization, where appropriate, of HR policies and practices in partnership with COE leaders
Proactively communicates the HRSS Delivery model to facility leadership and the HR Business Partner at AHS facilities transitioning to HRSS
Establishes service delivery continuous client feedback mechanisms and ensure improvements are prioritized accordingly
Champions a strong working relationship among the HRSS Directors and the HR Business Partner to ensure there is strong collaboration and partnership in providing facility employees and managers exceptional service
Partners with HRSS Directors to validate that the stated benefits of HRSS are being realized, and addresses any inherent challenges
Keeps abreast of best practices in HRSS and incorporates as needed into the service delivery model
Works with HRSS Directors to drive efficiencies and pursue continuous process improvements with the aim of optimizing team performance and effectiveness in delivering a first-class service to the business
Builds, leads, and develops a high-performing team of HR Shared Services Directors
Drives adoption of automation and self-service functionality throughout the system
Leverages technology to reduce costs, improve effectiveness, maximize efficiencies, and enhance vendor relationships
Develops and manages key relationships, communications, ongoing support, and reporting to internal and external business partners
Provides support to the HR Shared Services Directors on areas of process review, redesign, project management, and general initiatives
Guides the HRSS Senior Project Manager in creating and maintaining a comprehensive HRSS deployment plan in partnership with the Sr. HR Technology Manager, Communications & Organizational Readiness. Guides the creation and maintenance of HRSS function based “Resource Capacity Plans” to enable HRSS Directors to proactively manage workload and staff productivity
Provides direction and oversight to the HR Shared Services functional teams
Accountable for the continuity and successful delivery of functional services to employees throughout Adventist Health System
Proactively identifies trends that could impact organizational objectives and/or operational resources
Monitors HR Shared Services benchmarks and service level agreements and partners with respective HRSS Directors to define and implement process improvement and technical changes to address any deficiencies in HR Shared Services operations
Consults with executive leadership, HR Business Partners, HR Strategic Administration and Corporate Employment Law Advisors to develop and revise service level agreements, seek approval from stakeholders, and implement changes
Serves as an escalation point for complex issues between HR Shared Services, HR Business Partners, and HR Strategic Administration; Seeks appropriate solutions through utilization of strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and mediation skills
Represent HR Shared Services during organization-wide HR governance meetings
Partners with executive leadership and HR Strategic Administration to foster a team environment that promotes open communication.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or relevant field required; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum ten (10) years in an HR executive role, preferably in a healthcare environment; minimum of five (5) years leading an HR Shared Services function
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
Human Capital management (HCM) experience, especially PeopleSoft, preferred
